About
Kinga Monaghan, the driving force behind Blue Sky Building Designs, brings a unique blend of creative vision and technical expertise (Master's in Structural Engineering in Poland) to every project.
After arriving in Australia in 2011 with her husband (a New Zealand carpenter) and two young sons, Kinga gained valuable experience as a house draftsperson for a Northern Beaches builder, learning local planning controls and Australian building codes and standards.
In 2015, she founded Blue Sky Building Designs, focusing on creating beautiful and functional homes for clients from the Northern Beaches and beyond. Following a family relocation to the South Coast in 2020, she continues to serve Northern Beaches clients using efficient, modern technology and regularly visiting the area.
As a BDAA member, Kinga is committed to providing professional and reliable service and to staying up-to-date on the latest industry standards.

- Building Design : We consider aesthetics, practicality, and compliance in all our designs.
- 3D Models: To help you visualise the design, we provide a link to a 3D model that you can open and view on your own computer, at your convenience.
- Building Plans / Drafting for Approvals : We prepare detailed building plans, including site plans, compliance information, demolition plans, floor plans, elevations, and sections, ready for approval.
- Consultant Coordination: We work closely with consultants to ensure a smooth approvals process.
- Council and Certifier Liaison: We liaise with both council and private certifiers to make the approval process as seamless as possible.
- Detailed Construction Plans for Builders: We extend our services to provide builders with comprehensive plans that include detailed specifications for wet areas, joinery, window schedules, electrical plans, and construction details, ensuring everything is clear and precise for construction.
